This product may have been supplied with a plastic corner block with self adhesive tape already affixed to the block. Please ask at your retailer, or contact our customer support team and ask for a “corner support block for my Steam Stopper” Should trimming of your Steam Stopper be required, perhaps because of out of square walls or special features in your particular shower, the following methods of trimming and/or drilling may be considered. Any trimming must be undertaken on a clean surface, and the Steam Stopper product must be sufficiently supported to stop any flex of the product.
This product can be routed, by first fully supporting the product, marking the trim line required, and then guiding the router along the trim edge in a smooth and fluid motion. Clean up acrylic edges with sand paper to a smooth finish.
This product can be planed with a standard timber plane, taking care at the end of each stroke to not chip the corners of the acrylic. Clean up acrylic edges with sand paper to a smooth finish.
This product can be trimmed with either a fine tooth hand saw, copping saw, or hack saw. Always support the Steam Stopper product on a clean and flat surface to stop any flapping of the product as it is sawn. Clean up acrylic edges with sand paper to a smooth finish.
If required, this product can be drilled with any standard drill bit. Best results are achieved without the use of a pilot hole. Please select the correct size drill bit required, and drill with even moderate pressure onto a block of timber or other suitable surface.
