WHY ARE SHOWER TRAY UPSTANDS IMPORTANT?
Shower tray upstands are important because they help prevent water from escaping behind walls and floors, providing an extra layer of protection against leaks and long-term water damage. They also make your shower easier to keep clean by removing gaps where dirt and mould can build up.
Each of our trays are fully self-supporting, with a smooth acrylic surface and a fibreglass-reinforced backing, combined with a resin-encapsulated board and integrated support feet. This construction spreads weight evenly and provides excellent strength and long-term durability.
To prove it, our shower trays have been impact tested with a 300 KG weight being dropped 15,000 times, with no structural damage at all. This testing represents a lifespan of over 20 years based on daily use, and no detrimental effect was found on either the surface or the structure of the tray.
Manufactured from a hard-wearing, non-porous acrylic surface, the upstands are hygienic, low maintenance, designed to last. Minor surface damage can be repaired, and the material will not discolour or yellow over time.
4 Lip Shower trays & new Curved trays
These shower trays feature a continuous upstand of approximately 25–28 mm around the full perimeter upstand.
Shower doors and screens are installed inside these upstands, helping to contain water within the shower enclosure and reduce the risk of leaks at corners and joints.
All four sides of the tray have a fully finished surface, allowing the tray to be rotated to suit a variety of installation configurations and individual site requirements. The visible surface is high-quality white acrylic, providing a hygienic, easy-to-clean finish that is both durable and visually appealing for long-term use.
Available in a wide range of sizes up to 1800 mm x 900 mm, these shower trays are well suited to premium installations, combining clean design with practical performance.
